I’ve wanted to upload this level for so long. I accidentally deleted my recording the first time I beat it, and by the time I beat it again the song got banned. I believe the song is still banned, however you can still download it on GD due to a bug; so I can now upload this masterpiece of a level.
Miss you is my favorite level from Zoroa by quite a long shot. It is most definitely not the most technically impressive, but its charm is unmatched. First of all, I absolutely adore this level’s song: I don’t think I would like it nearly as much with a different song. It is also far from your usual meaningless level, as it is themed around Zoroa and DevinCoyote’s relationship, and this level does an absolutely fantastic job with its theme. From the animation, to the dual part’s background, to the subtle references to love you can see essentially everywhere, I cannot think of a better way to execute what Zoroa was going for. I will now talk about each part individually.

The first part is pretty uninteresting. It ressembles many other works from Zoroa with a grey color scheme. However, as to be expected from this creator, the movements and glow use are impressively smooth and clean. The structuring is quite boring and could’ve been more varied; this part features very basic shapes, such as rectangles or saws. The gameplay is fine, and the use of trigger orbs is always a good thing, especially when Zoroa manages to make those fair and satisfying to hit. There is not a whole lot to say about this part - it’s a decent introduction to the level, the fact that it’s simple and somewhat uninteresting allows for progression in future parts.

The next parts, leading up to a cutscene, introduce a much more interesting color scheme which mainly consists of pink and white.
The movements here get even smoother and pleasing to look at. My main issue with the UFO part would be the colors, which seem off to me - I am really not a fan of the very desaturated pink Zoroa used. It makes the part feel quite dull and not as good as it could’ve been. This issue vanishes in the following ball part, where I think the colors are really good. The air decoration for those two parts is quite random and unoriginal, but it does the job well and prevents the parts from feeling empty. However, you can notice many references to love that give the level its theme and save the parts from being forgettable, particularly with the background. As for the gameplay, I found it extremely fun, thanks to the amazing sync, and the use of teleportation portals or unusual gameplay choices which make for original yet fun parts.

The cutscene is pretty well done. I think it could be slightly more polished, but it’s fine as it is and fits the level perfectly considering its theme. One thing I especially love about this part is how it transitions to the next; where many levels would just make the screen fade to black, this transition is absolute genius in the sense that it uses the cutscene to create the next part’s background. I think this is one of the things this level does absolutely flawlessly. Speaking of the next part, it could perhaps feature more colors. However, I don’t think it matters too much considering how short it is.

The first few seconds of the drop are a bit disappointing, as there are no movements nor backgrounds, but it does pick up fast at 38%. I adore this section of the drop - I think it is exactly what a themed level should feature. The depth given by the clouds is absolutely fantastic, the background is executed well, and let’s not forget those floating blocks: not only do they give this part a lot of originality, but they manage to fit said part flawlessly and the gameplay stays readable. This part is straight up amazing.

After more unique gameplay choices (rotating platforms) and some decently decorated structures, we get to the first dual - my favorite part in the level. I think it features the best block designs by a long shot, as well as the best structuring, using half blocks and slopes. The colors are pretty good as well. However, what really makes this part stand out to me is its background. The spotlight switching between Zoroa and Devin to fit the song, making it seem like they are actually talking to each other, is absolute genius. It also ends beautifully as a heart appears between them. Ideas like these give a part so much uniqueness. As always, this part is well polished, the movements are amazingly smooth and clean, but I feel like that goes for everything Zoroa makes. Lastly, the gameplay is also fantastic - probably the most satisfying part in the entire level. Nothing else to say about it really.
