(I don't really have much to say about this song or remix, other than "haha cool time signatures toby", so im just gonna yap about chp 3 & 4. spoilers ahead...)
Tbh I didn't really like chapters 3 & 4 all that much. Which made me a little sad since Toby Fox has had a pretty great track record up to this point.
Chapter 3 to me felt boring and repetitive, especially with the reuse of the green room and the Zelda minigame (both were major areas that were used 3 times). I also thought that Tenna was a really bland character. Like, nothing about him felt particularly interesting to me. He just feels like another "look at me, I'm so wacky!" character, but without the depth or quirks that make similar characters like Queen, Lancer, and Spamton somewhat endearing. I also found the Lanino/Elnina/Roulx love triangle subplot super obnoxious. I wouldn't have minded it that much, but it takes up a decent amount of screentime in the chapter, and the joke gets old pretty fast imo.
Chapter 4 was better, but not by a whole lot. This chapter puts a lot more focus on the prophecy/roaring knight plotline, which I personally never found that interesting. I can't speak for everyone when I say this, but I feel like that particular aspect of Deltarune wasn't what made people enjoy chapters 1 and 2 lol. I'm assuming Toby wanted to use this chapter to give this plotline a chance to shine, but it didn't for me. Especially with how the prophecy itself was *mostly* just spoon-feeding information we already knew, which felt like a very lazy case of "tell, don't show". I also felt like there was a lot less thought put into the world-building of the new Dark World, which was also a problem I had with chp 3. Both the dark worlds felt more like video game levels rather than worlds that operated independently of the player. Things like the shops, businesses, castle, car traffic, palace, social hierarchies, advertising, etc. that were present in chp 1 & 2, were much less prominent in chp 3 & 4's dark worlds, which I felt made them feel kinda empty and lifeless.
While I don't think chp 3 & 4 are outright bad, I feel like they're dangerously close to being average, which makes me a little sad since I felt like Deltarune had a great thing going with the first two chapters :/
Anyway, for funsies, I'll rank the chapters according to how I feel about them:
1. Chapter 2 ~ really really good 9/10
2. Chapter 1 ~ pretty good 8/10
3. Chapter 4 ~ solid I guess 7/10
4. Chapter 3 ~ almost mediocre 6/10
