After a wild battle against the three Mike impersonators, a Shadowguy, a Zapper, and a green Pippins, respectively, Kris and Susie are now ready to head to Noelle's house to begin their search for clues pertaining to codes for the Shelter south of Hometown. While waiting for her, Susie asks for a snack, to which Kris responds by handing her the rose that Asgore gave them. When Noelle arrives, she assumes that the flower is meant as a gift for her but is confused when Susie eats it...! Regardless, the group arrives at Noelle's house, which looks about as festive as one might expect. Inside, Susie and Kris look around what rooms they can, before deciding to settle on the living room couch and start the study session. Before everyone can get into it, Berdly calls Noelle, wanting her to go to tomorrow's Festival with him. Susie interjects, noticing Noelle's tone as she begrudgingly accepts, before tossing her phone aside. This prompts her to have Kris look around while she keeps Noelle busy. Kris eventually spots a lone guitar, which appears to have some sort of code in it, but rips out their SOUL in a bid to prevent the information from reaching Susie. This leaves the SOUL to wander the vents, discovering the human on the phone with a mysterious caller, mentioning some sort of plan involving the church, and an objective of preventing Susie from getting the guitar... When the SOUL moves around the kitchen, Kris intercepts, stuffing it back in a room with gift boxes before starting to play the piano in the kitchen. The SOUL continues to move through the vents, discovering Asgore is there, working as a cleaner, and with an apparently mysterious objective of his own, which he believes should bring the Dreemurr family back together again... After a while, the SOUL arrives in the basement, and as Susie and Noelle are enjoying each other's company, it cuts off the power, prompting them to investigate, but before they arrive, an angel doll at the top of a large Christmas tree collapses onto the SOUL, leaving it hidden from the eyes. Susie and Noelle spot it having brushed against their legs, and when it moves, the latter moves to catch it with a cookie pan, leaving the former thoroughly impressed by her bravery. They contemplate what to do with it, but then they leave the room, prompting the SOUL to move off the living room table and towards the room with the guitar, where Kris lies in wait, aiming to intercept it and keep the code from Susie! When she and Noelle arrive, they decide to hang out some more, while Kris tries to fight the SOUL with a hockey stick, not wanting the code to let slip, but the noise they make attracts the girls' attention, prompting Susie to snatch the guitar away before she and Noelle leave the room. Next, the former starts to play the guitar as per Noelle's instructions, and they enjoy each other some more until the lights come back on. Asgore arrives, spotting the snack tray in the center of the living room table, which he happily starts munching on for a while before it is revealed that Noelle's mother, the mayor, is returning home from work early! This cold individual sternly moves to snatch the guitar from Susie's hands, prompting her to attempt to explain herself, but to no avail... Everyone is forced out of the house, but Carol makes it clear to Kris that they, and only they, are welcome any time... With no more leads, Susie and Kris ultimately decide to head back to the latter's house, but before they arrive, rain starts to fall over Hometown. To make matters worse, the door to the house is locked! This prompts Susie to decide to head over to the church to ask for a spare house key.
