Mr. "Ant" Tenna is very similar in his portrayal to TV Dinnah from Little King's Story, as well as his "deadly game show" gameplay. Some TV screens towards the end of the chapter depict Tenna’s lips and an infinite zooming TV set, which seem to pay homage to the character more directly.
Little King's Story (2009) was directed by Yoshiro Kimura, a friend of Toby Fox's. Kimura playtested Undertale before release because Toby Fox expressed his love for a previous work of his, Moon (1997), for being a pacifistic RPG. Kimura himself is referenced in Undertale if you phone Papyrus in Onion-san's room.
