Today I will be upgrading a Dell OptiPlex 790 Tower Desktop computer.
CPU from Intel i5 to i7 2600, RAM 8GB DDR3, SSD 480GB and I am going to add a dedicated GPU Nvidia Geforce GT320 1GB
There is no RAM in the PC, and an integrated graphics card there was only an old Mechanical Disk drive which I will replace with a cheap SSD.
I will now add the two sticks of ram each 4GB after that I will remove the HDD and replace the CPU with an i7 second gen.
I will add fresh thermal paste on the CPU.
Every part is working and I will install a fresh copy of windows 10 operating system with my multiboot Ventoy USB.
I have fast forwarded some parts of the installation process.
I will now disable the windows updates and install the drivers with snappy driver installer origin and install some apps with Ninite online installer.
