A quick teardown of the 2021 Dell Latitude 5320, covering its build quality, WiFi card, battery, SSD, and upgrade options.
Here we have the brand new 2021 Dell Latitude 5320.
In comparison to Lenovo, dell laptop always felt more sturdy and with better build and plastic quality.
It’s a slick and light device. I appreciate that dell did not used any fancy screws or elaborate construction that would make it hard to open.
To open this pc, just unscrew the 8 philips screws and pry the back open with a prying tool.
Inside we have this wifi-card, capable of up to 570Mbits speed with 2.4ghz and up to 2.4gb speed with 5ghz and Bluetooth 5.0, if we believe the spec…
This large 63-watt battery is being held by 4 screws and is easily replaceable, just make sure not to lose this little wire, because new battery comes without one.
The SSD drive has some sort of protective cover, held by 2 screws.
There’s also spare slot for 5G Modem with antenna.
Unfortunately the RAM is nowhere to be found so I assume it’s soldered onto the motherboard and cannot be upgraded or replaced, without replacing the entire board.
Overall this is a good corporate laptop and can be easily serviced. I recommend it.
