Here's my review of dehydrated chopped onions. If my calculations are correct, a 1 lb. 7 oz. can is the equivalent of 6 1/2 lbs. of fresh onions. If you paid $8.44 for this can (Walmart), it would break down to about $1.30 per pound for onions vs. about 80 cents per pound for fresh onions. The convenience of having the onions dehydrated and packaged is worth something, how much, I don't know. If you think my calculations are wrong, feel free to say so.
