Dehancer Pro is a plugin that offers a full suite of film emulation and color grading tools that help you turn log footage into vibrant cinematic video. Let's take a look at the DaVinci Resolve OFX version.

You start off by picking a supported camera or footage type in the input section. Then you can check out the Film section, which is the core of Dehancer, and pick out an option from the many film stock emulations that are available.

Dehancer takes its film emulation flow seriously. Emulating the film stock isn’t enough. Dehancer also emulates the film print too. Namely, what the negative gets printed on.

For moving images, there are two options, one of which is Kodak 2383, a print film that’s available from 8mm all the way to Hollywood level formats. For photographic negative films, there’s Kodak Endura Glossy. It’s really cool to see how the printed film looks after having chosen a film stock.

Dehancer also lets you finesse your exposure and color on top of the film and print emulations that I’ve already mentioned.

After that, you can add noise, film breath, weave, halation, bloom and damage that dynamically responds to your footage.
