Calgary's very own, Defunk first volunteered for on the Fractal Forest and Pagoda Stage crews, before landing on the Shambhala Music Festival roster for three years.
He experimentally crosses boundaries between genres, fusing elements of jazz, funk, soul, and blues with heavy bass into a delicious, dance-able blend that can only be described as funky bass music. His funky rhythms, dirty drops, and jazzy solos make him a Shambhala fave to get down to on the forest floor.
