LYRICS IN DESCRIPTION
A song of Nonsense Poetry based on Lewis Carrolls Poem "The Hunting of the Snark"

Lewis Carroll

They sought it with thimbles, they sought it with care

They pursued it with forks and hope

They threatened its life with a railway share

They charmed it with smiles and soap

My Version

They sail to set, to seek the prize, of fruitless imagination

As Men of Letters often do, exceed in their expectation

A futile ask of a pointless task, laid backwards on the ocean

From every angle such inclined, for hope to show a reason

By night by day and each in turn, put down their contribution

The Banker played upon their fears, with the Lawyers assignation

The Bellmans words rang out so clear, though seldom made much sense

The Beaver feared the Butcher as much, as to stay upon the fence

The Boots and the Baker and Billiard maker. although being part of the Crew.

Were underresourced and without being forced, that it left very little to do.

In between the port manteaus a broker arrived. to value their chattels in kind

The Baker had most when departing the coast, but sadly he`d left them behind.

.

The vanishing came and the vanishing went with a noise and a slight breath of wind.

All has been lost at an incredible cost, as the bowsprit had never been pinned.

Boojum wrote the man it was part of my Plan, drunk with the power of the Pen.

Say it once happen twice or maybe just thrice, I shall never there visit again.
