What you see in this video will *completely* change the way you use the arpeggio effect (if you already do).
Arpeggio schemes allow you to redefine the 0xy arpeggio effect so that it can do many more arps than the default {| 0 x} and {| 0 x y}; you can add or subtract the 0xy parameters from the base sequence and greatly reduce the number of instrument clones for different chord combinations.
This is a fully working ASM hack and works on all expansion chips. Details as shown in this video are tentative.

Track #8 from Dr. Latencys Freak Report. This 0CC module makes use of linear pitch mode, which allows uniform pitch bends for all melodic channels, as semitones are internally subdivided into 32 equal parts where pitch changes would take place, with the actual output period / frequency calculation performed once in the last. An example is the brass near the end; it uses only one instrument pitch sequence, but has the same vibrato amplitude regardless of the pitch. This kind of feature has existed in existing NSF drivers (such as the Mega Man 3-6 one) and MML dialects, and also planned in the official FamiTracker since 0.4.0.
Bringing linear pitch to this latest version of 0CC-FamiTracker yields a rather heavy update on the assembly side, but is certainly worth the weight as it completely abstracts away the pitch register implementations of each individual sound chip. The net result is that users can use the same pitch effects consistently at *any* melodic channel and pitch in a module, including any number of enabled N163 channels. For new users, this means much less guesswork is required for getting the right pitch effect amplitudes.
