Among the massive steel blocks that will make up the first Hunter class frigate, more than 150 people visited the Osborne Naval Shipyard to take part in News Corp Australia's Defending Australia summit.
Keynote speakers included Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles, Premier Peter Malinauskas and panels including our CEO Craig Lockhart, young employees from our business, Babcock Australia & New Zealand and ASC as well as four World War II veterans each of them aged over 100 years.
Nearby more than $30bn is being invested into building the world’s most advanced nuclear-powered submarine shipyard at Osborne, where BAE Systems and ASC will jointly build SSN-AUKUS submarines.
