Our opening day deer hunt in Minnesota was in a vast cattail marsh that we had scouted for deer sign and buck beds the previous winter. This hunt is a good example of how having multiple spots to check on the way into a hunt can help eliminate bad areas and get you on the best area available for that particular day.
