Mining can be an incredibly dangerous profession. Especially when you're only 3 foot tall, deep in the bowels of an alien planet and surrounded by the creepiest of creepy crawlies.
Grab your pickaxe as we head down into - Deep Rock Galactic.
Currently in development by Ghost Ship Games, Deep Rock Galactic is a first person co-op shooter in which a team of 4 dwarves head into the depths beneath a bug infested world to mine rare resources and avoid the swarms of giant killer insects. This game is still in closed alpha but is set to eventually release on both PC and Xbox One.

So during the stream I took a wander around the idyllic world of Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles.
Developed by indie studio Prideful Sloth, Yonder is a third person adventure game that replaces the usual kill ten rats type fetch quests with more of a serene farming and building approach. The usual cast of NPCs handing out weird and wonderful mini mission are there but zero combat involved (at least so far). The game is best summed up as somewhere between Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Stardew Valley.

So last week (completely out of the blue it seems) the seminal on-rails, rhythm shooter Rez hit PC. Original released back in 2001 on the PlayStation 2 and more recently re-released in its Infinite iteration on the PS4 and PSVR. And now it finally makes the leap to PC and I just had to give it a go.
