This is very interesting in depth look at the machinations by which TV networks function in regard to time limits and the like - Deep Purple had been asked to modify the length of the classic 'Smoke On The Water'. In itself a ridiculous concept and clearly one that hadn't been asked before - and why should they according to Ian Gillan who rightly points out the futility of such a stupid request.
