In October of 2011, environmental activist Dillon Thomson is taking to the road for a Deep Green Resistance speaking tour down the western coast of the U.S. Having worked as an activist for over four years, Dillon has seen firsthand the sluggishness of the environmental movement. Responding to the alarming indicators of ecological collapse, Dillon will travel to colleges, community centers, and family rooms throughout the United States to talk about the burgeoning movement that has a strategy set on winning: Deep Green Resistance. In his appeal Dillon will cover such issues as: environmental degradation; indigenous struggles; cultural crises; and the structure of the environmental movement. In the face of global crisis, this talk is not to be missed. Dillon Thomson is a founding member of the environmental group Fertile Ground, established in 2008. He has worked on issues such as organic foods, indigenous rights, tar sands, and environmental education. For three years he's engaged people of all ages as an environmental activist, speaking both at community events and college classrooms. Dillon is a gifted public speaker and a committed activist.
