DD 2-3 gives you a taste of night time supply line missions.
It may look like it's better off running in to form supply lines through the SE helipad. Don't! The area is riddled with Tarantulas and there's a roaming red bomb.
DD 2-3 is also the first stage wherein you can begin farming UMP exoskeleton suits for UMP45/9/40. The Jupiter cannons here can drop it. I don't quite recommend here though unless you are having a lot of trouble fielding teams that can reliably farm it on later stages.
