There should not be a choice in which one we are dedicated to—work or church. For Paul is telling us here that all work done to the honour of Christ will bring us an eternal reward (see 1:22, 23; 2:18). Plainly then, we are to do our best in whatever work—secular or ministry—we do. But we must always put Christ first.
