Deck Removal and Rebuild. I remove and completely rebuild my deck that was installed
in 1989. I am using home milled cedar decking 1-3/4" x 5" & 5-1/2" & 5-3/4", Steps 6-1/4" x 9" and 11" and pressure treated 2 x 6 for the framing.
The decking is screwed down with ceramic coated 3-1/2" Torx drive screws. I also used
butyl Joist tape on all the beams and joist. All of the decking and steps we pre-stained all sides before installation.
