KAHEA: The Hawaiian-Environmental Alliance is a non-profit, locally-grown, and Hawaiian led organization that is about Hawaiʻi . The main mission of KAHEA (the call) is to focus on the issues that impact cultural rights. Those who are involved with the organization are people who fight for social rights and the environment and are willing to stand up for not only themselves but for the community and future generations to come. They also recognize that when sacred lands, native species and traditional access are lost so are our cultural values and traditions. We invite you to talk-story with KAHEA Board Member, Logan Narikawa as we try to answer the question: What are we willing to stand up for and how do WE create pilina (relationships) within our cultural and environmental community as well as within higher education.
