Here is Debussy's Piano Trio in G Major, written in 1879 when he was just 17 years old. A marvel of chamber music, this piece offers glimpses at the composer that would become the man that changed the musical landscape of the 20th Century. Personally, I hear flashes of the influence that Debussy had upon Khachaturian throughout the entire composition.

Presented here is the 2nd movement. Performing are members of the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society.
