Despite this being a death metal focused channel, I've always liked thrash metal. The earlier the better! Japan has an amazing scene with bands such as Casbah, Sacrifice, Rommel, Fastkill, Rosenfeld, etc... Deathtrap is in that exact same vein!
No frills, du-pa du-pa filled thrash metal with a guy that's just shouting somewhat broken english at the microphone. It's killer, it's simple and straight to the point, there's no fucking around or whatever gimmicks you can think of. Pure unfiltered thrash the Japanese way, killer 11 mins...

![Vehement Thrower - Worm [Full Demo - 1991]
Vehement Thrower were a Polish death metal band. Formed in 1987 under Exhaust Death, they released 2 demos under that moniker, until in 1991 they changed name to Vehement Thrower. Afterwards, this demo was released and 1991 and their debut in 1993. Recently, Nuclear War Now! picked up on I Come in Peace, their debut, and re-issued it.
Had NWN! re-issued the demo, i would have definitely bought it. Incredibly aggressive, noisy and spiteful death metal. All of it packed in a 10min package, ready to deliver from start to end. You should also check their debut album out if you enjoy this.

![Surgical Dissection - The Inborn Malignance [Full Album - 1999]
Surgical Dissection were a brutal death metal band from Slovakia. They originally formed in 1993 as Dissection, changing their name to Surgical Dissection in 1996, and disbanding in 2014. In their runtime, the band released 2 demos and 4 full-lenghts, The Inborn Malignance being their debut.
This one screams late 90s brutal death, filled with technicality, batshit drumming, vomit-gurgling vocals and concise songwriting (I mean the album is 25 minutes long). No frills, no bullshit, straight to the point, face-bashing bdm. Tons of influences from Disgorge (US), Sepsism, Malignancy, Vomit Remnants and so on!

![Abraxas - By Way of Death [Full Demo - 1991]
Abraxas were an American thrash/death metal band. The band only released 2 demos in the 90s, this being their second and last.
By Way of Death opens with what is essentially a thrash metal song, but then the musically almosr suddenly changes to integrate their death metal influences. Its ferocious from the start but still manages to have a couple of slower, low-tempo moments that add diversity to their songwriting. Their style reminds me a lot of Inquisitor from the Netherlands - especially because of the extremly fast but sloppy (in a good way) d-beats and the unhinged shrieks the vocalist pulls off.
The original tape only had the first 4 tracks, but I got a hold of 5 extra live tracks, so I decided to include them here. It includes the first track from the demo, a Death cover and 2 extra tracks - Hanging from Abraxas Ressurection demo from 1990, and Swan Song which as far as i know was unheard in any other of their releases.

![Stigmatized - By Her Silvery Wings [Full Demo - 1992]
Stigmatized were a German death metal band and By Her Silvery Wings is their only released material after their formation in 1991.
This demo is super beefy and downtuned, the low end on the guitars is what I wish more bands had. If that wasnt enough, Stigmatized also merge some death/doom influences, along with an almost perfect sense of melody, to create a such an imaculate demo that it makes me sad they never released anything else other than these 4 tracks. But hey, its better than nothing and I will gladly listen to them over and over again.

![Necrotum - Hanging Above the Deadpool [Full EP - 2022]
Necrotum are a death metal band from Romania and Hanging Above the Deadpool is their latest grime-laced EP! In just above 10 minutes, these dude deliver a powerful blow of sewer madness.
The snare has a good ammount of ping and you will feel drowned by the huge guitars. Vocals are low and filthy as always. Necrotum has definitely improved their songwriting since their last output, now having more tempo variety, which leads to more dynamic and interesting songs.

00:00 - Wormed And Soulless

![Embalmed - Alive Forever [Full Demo - 1999]
Embalmed were a death/doom metal band from Brazil. They formed in 1994 and disbanded in 1999, after the release of this demo.
Doom is the name of the game. Most songs have something like a blast beat or a faster skank section, but generally speaking this release is midpaced at its fastest. Really melodic leaning sometimes too. Vocals are just unintelligible, which is awesome, and sometimes they put different effects on the backing vocals, which I love. Drumming is great, not anything too technically impressive, but its the kind of drumming that really fits the music and heightens everything. On the strings side of things, neverending tremolos and a very jangly bass which is always a pleasure to hear. Banger death/doom demo overall.
If I had to guess the genre based on the artwork alone, I would say this was some kind of late 90s metalcore. Artstyle is on point and then that logo that looks like the early Underoath logo? Gun to my head, this would be a metalcore album.

08:30 - Eternal Anguish

Erosive Exhumation were a death metal band from Brazil. They formed in 1993 as Exhumation, having changed their name to Erosive Exhumation in 1994. The band released 2 demos and then quit in 1996.
This demo, although undoubtedly OSDM, often walks in brutal death territory, especially in the vocals and some more tech-ish riffs. On top of that, there is also a clear Carcass-like goregrind influence. Add all those up and you get a disgusting, barf inducing demo (and the barf is really chunky)

![Disinterment - Beholder [Full Demo - 1995]
Disinterment were a Polish death metal band and Beholder is their first and last released material.
Beefy death metal, really catches that mid-90s style. However, tracks like Reggae and Onhcet aren’t something you wouldn’t find in any death metal album... mostly because they’re not death metal... Cant judge too much, I dont listen to music like that. But the death metal parts? Tasty, beefy and really solid. If that opening dive-bomb doesnt sell you, I dont know what does.
I must say, I dont know where the last 3 tracks are from. Cant find any source that proves they exist associated with Disinterment, but the person that gave me this demo sent the whole package... If anyone knows let me know!

![Creepozoid - Creepozoid [Full Demo - 1994]
Creepozoid were a death metal band from Switzerland and this self-titled demo was their only output after they formed in 1992.
Named after a sci-fi horror Alien-ripoff B-movie you know this has to be good. Creepozoid made music heavily inspired by early brutal death, Sinister from the Netherlands, demo-era Disgorge (USA) and, instrumentaly-wise, Deicide.
This demo is one hell of a treat, dont miss out.

![Mass Confusion - Rolling in Stitches [Full Demo - 1988]
Mass Confusion were an Australian crossover thrash band, formed in 1985 as Whispering Death. In 1986 the band went through the name change that led them to Mass Confusion, having an original run from 85 to 93. In that time, they released 3 demos and their debut album in 1990. Rolling in Stitches was their 2nd demo. In 2017 the band got back together for some shows but nothing else came from that.
The cover art for this one is really sick, and the music matches is perfectly. Its a very punky crossover thrash demo, with a clear DIY and fun attitude to it. No experimental nor wacky stuff to be found here, just 4 band members going ape on their instruments, probably half drunk even.
