The Helvetic Underground Committee is dedicated to the advancement of grotesque, vile, depraved and putrid audio torment. One of the entities belonging to said Committee of ghastly propaganda is Death. Void. Terror., a project whose abyssic emanations were unleashed into the feeble world in 2018 with the release of “To the Great Monolith” on Iron Bonehead Productions. This second offering stands as a testament to the aural bleakness intended by the Committee, a true opus of Doom infused Black Metal horror blazing of sinister vibrations and audial madness. Ceremonial, utterly ritualistic, the four tomes here carved mesmerize by the haunting, dangerous atmosphere they evoke, whether through the wide pallet of sheerly possessed vocal wails and chants, the tortuous reverberations of electric guitar or the intense and tasteful rhythmic section. Such elements merge in numinous alchemy via a brilliantly cast sound production, spectral, ambitious, atypical, perfect for the ghostly atmosphere of dread “To the Great Monolith II” conjures.
Repose Records releases this unholy ordeal on Red 180 gram LP with a 16 page artbook, black LP, digipak CD, cassette & digital formats on January 24th 2020.
