Trivia
Joaquin Murrieta went on a vicious crime wave from about 1849 until 1853 due to his wife's violent murder and his own ill-treatment. In 1853, the governor of California authorized the creation the California State Rangers for three months to track down Murrieta; 20 men were hired at $150 per month ($4600 in 2018). Captain Love and his men allegedly captured Murrieta (there is speculation that the head actually belonged to someone else), and Captain Love received a $1000 reward (nearly $31,000 in 2018).

Goofs
As the captain and passenger are standing on the boat, the boat never moves. There should be some rocking motion as it has been shown that the boat is traveling on the river at a nice pace.
