Episode 2 lets Sam loose in the world of Death Stranding, slowly doling out the tools to interact with it. Sam's overall goal will be to connect all the cities and locations between Capital Knot City and the vital integration of Port Knot City to the Southwest.
It has been ten years since Sam has seen his sister, Amelie. She is in the president's office with Die-Hardman, except she is in hologram form. Her body is trapped at the beach at the utmost West end of America.
Amelie is poised to take over as Bridget's replacement. She pleads with Sam to connect the states into the UCA (United Cities of America) via the Chrial Network.
