Have you ever thought it weird that the Red Power Rangers is, more often than not, the leader? Why? Is it just the colour?

What about Cyclops? Why is he the leader?

Granted, the person is often given the specific colour of leadership because of their 'inner qualities', but can the blue ranger be the leader next time?
