This shouldn’t need to be said, but this is obviously a work of fiction. It is in no way a threat or a call to action to commit violence against any persons living or dead. While everyone in this story is fictional, the real life JK Rowling is indeed a transphobic bigot and causing irreparable harm to the trans community. Fuck JK Rowling. Fuck Harry Potter, too. Rowling sees support of the Harry Potter franchise as vindication for her hateful beliefs. If you are truly an ally to trans people, then you can no longer support the brand. Don’t buy the new game. Don’t stream the movies. Don’t go to the theme parks. You don’t need to dispose of your books like Patrick did, but at the very least don’t acquire new ones.
