Death Cab For Cutie, a band formed in 1997 in Bellingham, Washington, by singer and musician Ben Gibbard, has released its new eleventh studio album, the first for the independent label Anti. Produced by John Congleton (David Byrne, Bill Callahan, Anna Calvi, Sugar Ros, Eddie Vedder and many others) and recorded in his Los Angeles studio, the album, as always introspective, enveloping and melancholic, confirms the band as masters of the genre, capable of generating intimate and profound emotions.
