Dear Youtube, let's talk about B Roll. Something that I have been thinking a lot about lately is how these b-roll cinematic sequences we shoot in our cinematic vlogs, aren't actually b-roll. It's actually a-roll, and the reason it's a-roll and not b-roll is because it's story. B-roll isn't story, but cinematic sequences can be story! I can see the misconception, and I've done it too. There is so much on youtube that is changing filmmaking, and I absolutely love it!
