By solo, I mean solo. Not with allied creatures where people say "solo kill". This method is applicable to all characters.
For the Ewecus, it takes three shots from an ice staff to freeze him, which is just enough time before he snots you. Drop a burnable item like a rope in front of him, burn it, and between the burn damage and you attacking him, he is stunlocked. This method was extended from its application to Spider Queens, which I learned from esaiXD on twitch here: twitch.tv/esaixd.
Prestihatitator isn't too hard to make for the ice staff and you can get blue gems from digging graves. Just make sure to step to the side of the fire so you're not taking damage yourself and don't push him into the rope since it won't work.
As for the Varg, its not as easy but certainly doable. All you need is 6 rocks to make into walls into the shape I show and some armor. I placed the walls on a road to make kiting easier, though its not necessary.
The meat from the dead hounds serve as a distraction, making for some easy pickings here and there.
