Framestore’s Pre-Production Services (FPS) supported every stage of the filmmaking process for Marvel Studios’ Deadpool and Wolverine. Led by Senior Visualization Supervisor Kaya Jabar, the team delivered over 900 shots as the sole pre-production service provider, covering previz, on-set support, techviz, and postviz. Through a detailed visual roadmap, FPS brought Deadpool and Wolverine’s intense, irreverent tone from concept to final execution, seamlessly transforming vision into action.

Previz allowed the production team to experiment with shot composition, timing, and camera angles before stepping onto the set, creating a sandbox to refine ideas. For on-set support, FPS worked closely with the camera and stunt teams to ensure complex scenes were executed safely and precisely. The team also delivered over 89 minutes of postviz, bridging the gap between live-action footage and VFX to guide decisions with a clear vision of the final look. FPS’s hands-on, iterative approach provided a seamless workflow, aligning creative goals with technical execution from planning through post-production.
