A man in his early 20s, was shot dead during a violent home invasion in Glen Alpine, Sydney's south-west. A group of men broke into his family home at approximately 3:30am, shot the victim multiple times, and fled within minutes. Police believe the shooting was targeted but suspect it may be a case of mistaken identity, as the victim had no links to organised crime and no criminal record apart from a speeding ticket.
