The Retromantic | Dead Mall Tour: Inlet Square in Myrtle Beach, SC @TheRetromantic81 | Uploaded February 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
It's Friday night! Let's hit the mall! In this video, Sir Daniel and I visit a "dead mall" called Inlet Square--in Myrtle Beach, SC. We try to re-live our youthful days of mall excitement, but sadly that's impossible in today's times. Most of the stores here are empty--and the only remaining anchor store is a Belk. I did find this mall to be unique because it had an abandoned arcade, theater and bowling alley we could look into. I also enjoyed the fact that one of the mall's former anchor stores was a K-mart. This video includes lots of photos of the mall when it was filled and days were better. I was actually impressed though, at some of the creative ways the mall came up with to keep things going for awhile. Auctions, yard sales, estate sales, churches, art galleries, educational programs and more were found in some of the old mall store spaces. Please join us for the first dead mall video on my channel. There will be more in the future!
