Some of you have asked me about my song writing process so I thought this might show a glimpse into that. I like to write what I call "song fragments". The hardest thing about writing something is coming up with the first idea. So when inspiration strikes I run to a guitar, piano, my computer, or anything I can find and work through whats in my head and get these little musical fragments. They aren't complete songs or pieces but they usually have a precursor to theme and variation/movement and a change or 2. I store all of them with labels as to what their aesthetic feels like so later I can develop them.
