Descend into the Underdark with the latest Unearthed Arcana playtest for Dungeons & Dragons. Game Designer Leon Barillaro introduces new character options inspired by strange magic, ancient empires, drow intrigue, and the creeping horror of becoming something no longer entirely mortal.
In this video, we dive deep into the design behind each option: a Barbarian whose rage burns with corrupting Unlight, a Wizard who wields the secrets of the Deep Imaskar, a Rogue built for social infiltration and betrayal among the houses of Menzoberranzan, and a feat path that grows from an implanted tadpole to full psionic transformation.
This playtest includes three subclasses for the Barbarian (Path of Unlight), Rogue (House Agent), and Wizard (Imaskarcanist) and also includes the Path of Ceremorphosis: a group of feats that provide characters a path toward becoming a mind flayer. The material uses the rules in the Player's Handbook.
