this animation is a reflection of one of my formerly weaker sides as a dungeon master for D&D 5e, making players roll knowing full well that they could not make the checks no matter how high they rolled

i got better at using the "surprisingly difficult roll" narrative tool in dungeons and dragons as i kept being a dungeon master but my players had to let me know that it was annoying them
