In this video, I went Cricut crazy. I used my Cricut to create a just for fun layout consisting of a layered poinsettia image welded to a rectangle shape (which is meant to serve as the gutter). I duplicated that image, and flipped it horizontally, so that the mirror image is reflected on the reverse side of the page. Doubling them up this way added a bit more stability to the layout so it would be less flimsy. Side A is inset with varying shades of red cardstock, while the B side is yellow. The flower centres are blue and deep red. This layout makes up the left side of my double page layout, and measures 7x8.25 inches. It will go in my album without a page protector.
The right side of this layout is a pocket page; I will use a 6x8 page protector with two 6x4 pockets. One pocket will store my photo, which measures 6x4, and the other pocket contains a Cricut made journal card. I used patterned papers from Vicki Boutin Evergreen + Holly and puffy Thickers from an older VB collection for the title. A smaller version of the large poinsettias in the left page is adhered to the bottom left corner of the journal card. I let it hang partially over the edge of the journal card, then trimmed off the extra bits so it would fit inside its pocket. To complete this layout, a bit of glitter was added to some of the poinsettia leaves, and enamel dots were added to tie both sides of the layout together.
