In this video we make a return back to the DCC series. We take a look at converting one of my Lima class 87 loco's to DCC ready / DCC. Tried to keep it as simple as possible, to follow. What i show here is fitting a 8 pin plug socket for a standard 8 pin DCC decoder to plug into. Only pins 1, 4, 5, & 8 are used, with the other pins on the plug socket to be used later on for when i fit a lighting kit.
Also at some point i'll be changing those huge Lima couplings for something smaller, super detailing, weathering, upgrading the wheels & motor.
The coaches seen in this video are the latest items to join the fleet care of a prize from Hornby with their photo comp (Many thanks Hornby :-) ). The coaches are the MK2e's in BR exc livery.
Also soon as Dapol get their catenary wires out, then i'll be making a start on installing the OHLE on the layout.
