Today we welcome back one of the most iconic classic airliners ever built as we take the newly updated PMDG DC-6 on a scenic journey through the mountains, lakes, and wilderness of Western Canada.
The DC-6 has long been considered PMDG's flagship piston airliner, and with its latest update it is now officially supported in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. While this update focuses primarily on compatibility improvements, Level of Detail (LOD) enhancements, and various fixes rather than new features, it marks the return of a true aviation legend to the newest generation of flight simulation.
Our route takes us through some of Canada's most spectacular scenery, flying between remote airfields, mountain valleys, and rugged terrain where the DC-6 feels right at home. From British Columbia's dramatic landscapes to challenging approaches and historic bush-flying country, this is the perfect aircraft to rediscover the golden age of air transport.
