In this episode I have been working on preparing all of the brass castings for plating. The first step is to electroplate with a copper strike, a superficial alkaline deposited copper. The second phase is to create a much thicker acid copper plate which builds up the surface so it can be sanded back and polished to fill any minor defects like porosity or deep scratches.
The final phase is to use an electroless nickel solution to give the model a chrome like finish.
