At this year’s New York ComicCon (2023), I had the chance to sit down and talk with Mark Evans, Events and Community Manager, about DC’s new HRO Hybrid Cards. These amazing cards are truly hybrids: you can buy them in packs and collect them like traditional trading cards, but then you can scan them into the HRO app on your phone or tablet and unlock a digital twin of each card, which you can also buy, sell, and trade through the app! Each card is uniquely numbered, both in the digital world and on the physical cards themselves. I was able to sample a few packs and I can say that these cards are absolutely gorgeous! They’re high quality physical cards featuring DC artwork by various superstar artists, and they even have themed collections.
