We've all come to take the 'gas station' experience for granted... restrooms, snack bars, good lighting and safety are almost always present. With the race to expand charging in Canada, some of these considerations have perhaps been neglected or undervalued. Considering that an EV refuelling session still takes longer than a gas fill-up, some amenities are even more critical to ensure a good customer experience.
In this episode, Scott Sharabura, VP of Electric Vehicle Charging for Parkland Corporation, shares his insights and experience around refuelling stations and their design.
Scott brings 25 years of experience in the energy sector and is focused on bringing EV charging solutions to retail and commercial customers.
Under Scott's leadership, Parkland has opened 27 DC fast charging stations, and will reach 50 by the end of 2023. In his previous role as VP Strategy, Scott led the development of an energy transition strategy for Parkland, focusing on how Parkland can diversify its business and help its customers to decarbonize, including EV charging, solar energy and the provision of carbon offsets.
