Hello! This is the first short film I made as part of my university course. Our task was to make a 90 second short film (not nearly enough time) about a subject that is close to us - so I chose mental illness, more specifically, anxiety/depression. I interviewed my best friend about these issues that we've both experienced and tried to illustrate what she said with visuals. I also wanted to challenge the representation of young teenage girls that we see in today's film and media, who are often portrayed as catty, bitchy, mad about boys or simply not relevant to a greater narrative. I wanted to show a side of adolescence that isn't shown or talked about enough. I hope you enjoyed this little project, and any feedback is always welcome!
