Subscribe for more DayZ Tips: You can modify the LE MAS in DayZ with a hacksaw, sawing off those terrible iron sights. However, sawing off the LE MAS reduces its total durability of the LE MAS by 20 health, bringing it down to 180 health. This results in roughly a 10% faster deterioration compared to an unsawed LE MAS. Despite this drawback, the modified LE MAS offers much improved visability on iron sights without any other stat changes, so whether you saw or not is up to you. #dayz
