And here are the Daydream VR News for week 17 of 2017!
After the their first 2 VR projects, Underworld and 6X9, which were both absolutely worth to check out, The Guardian has now come up with a new VR experience.
First Impressions is the Guardian's third VR project, and it enables viewers to explore how a baby sees the world during its first six months. Audiences can experience and interact with the world from the point of view of a baby.
The experience is designed to let the viewer relive this time, witnessing the scene around them gradually change from blurry, muted colors to a vibrant, 3D room with human interaction.
The voice of Charles Nelson, professor of pediatrics at Harvard, guides viewers through the experience as they see actors, as their parents, interact with them.
You can check out "First Impressions" in the Guardian app for Daydream VR completely free of charge.
And there is more free content coming to Daydream VR. Visual Effect and Immersive experience creator Digital Domain has just launched their new app on Daydream VR!
The visual effects and immersive experience creator Digital Domain has announced the launch of its first virtual reality (VR) app, Digital Domain VR, allowing users to have a look at its library of work as well as offering livestream 360-degree events.
The Digital Domain app includes a wide array of immersive content created in-house by the company, offering a mixture of genres, styles and formats. Alongside Digital Domain’s own content the app will also feature original works from its entertainment industry partners. You can download Digital Domain off the Google Play store completely free of charge.
And last week, we had one big game launch! The great "Along Together", a puzzle adventure is availabe since last Thursday, let's have another look together!
In our Daydream District review, the game scored a fantastic 8.5 out of 10 and is a Daydream District Editor's choice! Now what makes the game so good? Well, for all the reasons, simply watch the review! In a nutshell: this puzzle game impresses with high production values, likable characters, spot-on controls and gameplay mechanics that simply work great in VR. You guide a kid through a colorful world on the quest for a lost dog. Interact with the the environment and solve tricky puzzles to make it to the end.
