Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cut into thin strips or wedges
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- Oil for deep frying
- 2 tablespoons oil (for stir-frying)
- 1 tablespoon Schezwan chutney
- 2 green chilies, sliced (adjust to taste)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds and chopped spring onions for garnish
Method:
Frying the Potatoes:
1. In a bowl, coat the potato strips with cornstarch, ensuring they are well covered.
2. Heat oil for deep frying. Fry the coated potato strips until golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Making the Honey Chili Sauce:
1. In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add Schezwan , and sliced green chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
2. Add honey, salt, and pepper to the pan. Stir well to combine the ingredients.
3. Allow the sauce to simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
Combining Potatoes and Sauce:
1. Add the fried potato strips to the pan with the honey chili sauce. Toss until the potatoes are evenly coated.
2. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Honey Chili Potato!
