Leeor Alexandra | Day in My Life 3/30 - One Step at a Time @LeeorAlexandra | Uploaded January 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 week ago.
Day 3 | I’ve struggled with PMDD since I was probably 12 years old. I was put on birth control for it at 14. It didn’t fix it but it made the time I struggled with it shorter. At 23, I got off birth control and over the years, the dysphoria got worse, the time it took over my life went from 3 days, to 7, to 10, and in the past year I’ve had to deal with it for two whole weeks out of the month before starting my cycle. I decided this year that it was time to really be proactive about it - now that I live with someone, I can’t hide from humanity for half the month and pray to make it through the dysphoria. I had to face my demons, and finally at 30 I’m seeing that it can be helped. I’m healing through foods, acupuncture, and herbs. So far I’ve had two cycles that were better in different ways than in the last year, but I’m definitely not “there” yet. I’ll keep updating you since I know I’m not alone in this ❤️
