--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm doing my own 8-Week Alternate Picking Intensive, all 56 days of it, and streaming the actual practice sessions. This is Day 16.
This is not a lesson. It's the real daily work: 12 exercises, 5 minutes each. Four pentatonic, four modal, four exotic (melodic minor, harmonic minor and friends). Everything is eighth notes at 80 BPM over a drone so you can hear the tonality of every note. The tempo never goes up. The goal is perfect accuracy, and speed grows out of that.
Every week there are 12 new exercises witihin the same categories.
