Hey guys, it’s Day 10 of the anatomy course with Rodgon on 21 Draw. We’re almost halfway there! I’ve been battling a pretty bad tonsillitis, so today was tough. Still, I managed to grab about fifteen fever-free minutes to dedicate to the course, and I’m glad I did.
For this lesson, I didn’t use any reference photos. Honestly, I feel like I don’t yet have enough knowledge to properly combine reference with the guidelines. Instead, today was all about learning the mapping system — the infinity sign and the water drop shapes. It’s amazing how such simple forms can turn something that looks so complicated into something very approachable.
When you see a finished head drawing, it looks intimidating. But when you break it down step by step, the way Rodgon explains it, you realize just how simple it can be. And the best part? I actually drew my very first head in profile view that looks like a real head. I was genuinely shocked when I stepped back and saw it.
So yeah, that’s Day 10. Tomorrow it’s on to Day 11. I’ll still be filling up on antibiotics and painkillers, but I’m determined to keep going. Thanks so much for watching, and see you in the next one!
