Welcome to the first day of TreeSisters 8 Days Of Resilience, in celebration of International Women’s Day 2021.
Over the next few days, we will be sharing stories, interviews and resources from the TreeSisters network which aim to showcase some of the many ways that Nature helps us to be resilient.
Today we share a conversation between Judy Ling Wong, painter, poet and environmentalist and Angharad Barlow, TreeSisters Groves Manager.
Judy Ling Wong is a painter, poet and environmentalist, best known as the Honorary President of Black Environment Network (BEN). For 27 years she was the UK Director of BEN, with an international reputation as the pioneer and creator of the field of multi-cultural participation in the built and natural environment. Judy is known as a major voice on policy towards social inclusion, contributing through key national committees and campaigns. She was awarded an OBE for pioneering multicultural environmental participation in 2000, and a CBE for services to heritage in 2007.
We are honoured to share this beautiful conversation with you as our first day of resilience for #IWD2021.
